Big Brothers Big Sisters Honors Local Business People

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Gulf Coast hosted its 13th Annual BIG Event on November 13 at Crown Hall in Downtown Mobile. This year’s theme, “The Power of We,” highlighted the collective commitment of individuals, corporations and community partners who ensure young people across the Gulf Coast have the support needed to achieve their full potential. The nonprofit honored Hon. Sonja Bivins and Michael Kintz of Wilkins Miller as 2025 Bigs of the Year for their dedication and leadership in mentoring. Corporate Bigs of the Year, representing companies that actively support employee involvement in mentorship, were selected by their coworkers as outstanding representatives of their organizations. They were recognized from the following companies: Hargrove, Alabama Power Co., Uniti Fiber, Roberts Brothers, The American Equity Underwriters, The Hiller Cos., Infirmary Health System and the Mobile Bar Association.
