Free Event Resource For Nonprofits Opening December 1

Lee Charities, a Foley-based nonprofit with a mission is to elevate the nonprofit and social services network, has announced the opening of The Sharing Shed, a new community resource providing local nonprofit and civic organizations with free access to event essentials such as tables, chairs, tablecloths and pop-up tents, for December 1. Created to help nonprofits and community groups host events, fundraisers and gatherings without the burden of equipment rental costs, the facility is also in Foley and will operate much like a community library for event equipment. Approved nonprofits can reserve and check out items for free and return them once their events are complete. Organizations interested in using The Sharing Shed may learn more or request items by email. Lee Charities also welcomes donations of new or gently used event equipment and volunteers to help maintain the space.
