CWA Gaining Funds From Fairhope Soap Line

Deborah Bruijn, owner of the local handmade soap boutique Fairhope Soap Co., said the store has announced the launch of a limited-release line of Clean Water Alabama (CWA) soaps, with a portion of the sale of every bar benefiting the water preservation nonprofit. Bruijn founded Fairhope Soap in 2013. She is a Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetics Guild Certified Advanced Soapmaker and a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. She is also a chemist and speaker, and teaches the chemistry of soap making and cosmetic chemistry to manufacturers at conferences around the country. Bruijn also recently donated $1,250 to CWA from her winnings in a Fairhope Sunset Rotary Squares Game competition. Enriched with shea and cocoa butter and made with a large portion of organic ingredients, the soaps are available for purchase at Fairhope Soap’s locations in Downtown Fairhope and at OWA in Foley, as well as its website.
