DeAngelo Named DRCR Executive Director

The Dog River Clearwater Revival (DRCR) Board of Directors has announced Evelyn DeAngelo as the new executive director of DRCR, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting, restoring and promoting the health and accessibility of the Dog River Watershed. DRCR says DeAngelo brings extensive experience in litter abatement, volunteer management and environmental education curriculum development. A graduate of the Leadership Mobile Class of 2022, she has led initiatives that engage citizens of all ages in protecting local waterways. “Her deep community roots strengthen her connection to DRCR’s mission,” it added. “The board is confident Evelyn will expand DRCR’s reach through stronger partnerships, broadened education efforts and innovative strategies to reduce pollution. She will continue the organization’s hallmark events, from watershed cleanups and school programs to paddling excursions and fundraising events such as the MudBottom Revival Music Festival and the annual DRCR Fishing Tournament, while inspiring greater stewardship across the community.“
