Eco Clean Marine Picks Up Trash, Donates

GULF SHORES, Ala. — Local nonprofit Eco Clean Marine has been organizing trash pickup programs each month between Fort Morgan and Panama City Beach since its founding in January. The organization not only cleans up trash along the Gulf Coast, it is also focused on creating awareness about the significance of trash pickup among the local community. The collected trash is donated to a local artist for reuse and upcycling. Most recently, it bought and donated a trashcan to The Original Oyster House in Gulf Shores for the restaurant’s gazebo. A local artist decorated the bin with recycled art. The organization also sells merchandise including T-shirts and racerback tank tops on its website. All profits go to Eco Clean Marine.
