Impact 100 Baldwin County Announces Grant Finalists

 Impact 100 Baldwin County has named 10 finalists in its 18th year of transformational grant giving. The organizations and projects (by category) are: Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre with “Lighting the Stage for the Next Generation” and South Baldwin Community Theater with “Project Room to Grow” (Arts, Culture and Recreation); Fairhope Point Clear Rotary Youth Club with “Growing Together: Enhancing Pre-K Access and Nutrition in Baldwin County” and the South Baldwin Literacy Council with “Building for Brighter Futures: Capacity Expansion to Expand Educational Services” (Education); Hope Community with “Anna T. Jeanes Nature Trails” and the Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department with “Protecting Lives and Environment in Harder to Reach Areas” (Environment & Preservation); the Sea Glass Initiative with “Access in Motion Transportation Initiative” and The Arc of the Gulf Coast Inc. with “Bricks of Belonging: A Home for The Arc of Gulf Coast” (Family); and the Community Hospice Foundation of Baldwin County with “Healing Harmonies” and Thomas Hospital Foundation with “Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program” (Health & Wellness). The finalists were selected from applications reviewed by Impact 100 Baldwin County’s focus groups in each category. Its annual meeting, “Evening of Impact,” is scheduled for October 21 at the Daphne Civic Center. The finalists from each focus area will present their unique projects. The members will vote, and the organizations that will receive $94,000 each will be announced that night.
