Junior League Opening Blue Pass Registration

Merchant registration for the Junior League of Mobile (JLM) BluePass is free and now open. BluePass is a shopping card fundraiser that gives cardholders exclusive discounts to merchants in Mobile and Baldwin counties. Merchants offer a discount to cardholders during October, and funds raised from the sale of BluePasses help JLM “build better communities,” it says. Businesses can tailor the discount however they wish to best fit their business model. JLM supports 22 programs with 12 charitable agencies in Baldwin and Mobile counties. JLM raised $130,000 for community projects last year, including collecting and distributing 10,000 diapers, and supplying uniforms, snacks and books to needy children. JLM, which celebrated 90 years of operation on September 2, is currently addressing seven areas of need: literacy, special needs, school readiness, healthy communities, arts education, job readiness and at-risk youth. The deadline to sign up is September 30.
