NEST Of Mobile Annual Luncheon Coming Up

 NEST of Mobile, which matches local at-risk youth and their families with volunteers who provide resources, support and mentorship, is holding its annual luncheon on November 12 at noon at the Mobile Convention Center. Tickets are $60. The guest speaker will be Stephanie McCrummen, a Birmingham native who devoted many years to The Washington Post as a reporter and served as its bureau chief for East Africa for five years. Her articles on American politics earned her the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 2018. Today, she works as a staff writer with The Atlantic. Her article on the displacement of the Maasai tribe in Tanzania was featured on the cover of The Atlantic’s May 2024 issue.
