Prodisee Pantry Stock Boosted By Community Foundation Of South Alabama

The Community Foundation of South Alabama’s partnership with Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort has helped the latter obtain 10 T. of food to distribute, the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce announced. A grant from the foundation added 10 T. of locally sourced fresh produce, dairy, meats and staple food items to the distribution. Throughout the pandemic, Prodisee Pantry volunteers have dispersed nearly 1,900 T. of food to 34,709 families impacted by COVID-19, an average of 110 lb. of food per family. “COVID-19 response and relief grants help ensure that organizations like Prodisee Pantry continue providing essentials, like food, to those most vulnerable in our local communities,” said Community Foundation of South Alabama President and CEO Rebecca Byrne.
