Garreft A. Powe

Oakworth Capital Bank is pleased to welcome Garrett Powe as an Associate Managing Director on our Commercial Banking team in South Alabama. Garrett brings extensive experience in financial services and management, along with a strong commitment to community service. His background includes commercial banking, agricultural lending, and operational leadership, giving him a broad perspective on the financial needs of businesses and families across Alabama.

Prior to joining Oakworth, Garrett served as Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer at ServisFirst Bank, where he managed a diverse commercial loan and deposit portfolio. In this role, he consistently exceeded performance goals and was recognized with the bank’s 2023 and 2024 Top Producer Award.

A Selma native, Garrett remains deeply connected to the communities he serves. He is president of the Rotary Club of Mobile, treasurer of Friends of Magnolia Cemetery, and an active volunteer with organizations including the Literacy Coalition of South Alabama, First Light Community, and United Way of Southwest Alabama—where he was recognized as the 2025 outstanding campaign coordinator. He has also been recognized as one of Business Alabama’s 2023 Rising Stars of Banking and part of Mobile Bay Magazine’s 40 Under 40 in 2020. He serves on the vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and the standing committee of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast.

Garrett and his wife, Patricia, live in Mobile with their two children, Hilton and Mary Stuart. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf.
