According to AL.com, Foley’s commercial growth continues with construction under way on the 73-room, four-story Cobblestone Hotel & Suites at the northeast corner of Miflin Road and Koniar Way. The hotel will include an outdoor pool, business center, fitness center and convenience store. Work is also ongoing for a new Tractor Supply Co. store on 4.25 acres just south of Old Time Pottery on Highway 59 in Foley. Another Publix supermarket is under construction on the southwest corner of the Foley Beach Express and Baldwin County 20 in eastern Foley. The grocery store will anchor The Village at Foley Crossroads retail center on 10 acres. A regional bank paid $1.56 million for a 21,700-ft2 office building at 1495 South University Boulevard in West Mobile, according to Herrington Realty, which handled the transaction. The buyers plan to remodel the property and use it as executive offices. In Daphne, watch for Port City Glass to build a 19,625-ft2 glass sales facility on 2.85 acres on County Road 64 east of Austin Road, according to the Baldwin planning commission.
