Baldwin County March Housing Report – Best Numbers Yet

Baldwin REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) started reporting “Traditional Residential”- and “Resort/Island”-based statistics separately in February 2020. Since then, March 2021 has produced the highest average sales price for both categories, and the combined total properties of 956 is the highest seen since Baldwin MLS began its monthly reporting in 2017. Along with the high average sales price of $564,924, the “Resort” segment in Baldwin County also nearly doubled its number of closed sales year-on-year. Due to the increased average sales price, the total dollar amount sold more than doubled. For “Traditional Residential” properties in the county, the average sales price of $312,603 increased 19.3% from March 2020’s $261,974 average. Additionally, this market saw a 21.6% increase in the total number of closed sales and a 45.1% increase in total dollar amount sold.
