Baldwin Realtors Forms Foundation, Receives Grant

After Hurricane Sally, Baldwin REALTORS® leadership formed the Baldwin REALTORS Foundation. According to a press release, forming the foundation provided an opportunity for the group to receive the National Association of REALTORS’ (NAR) REALTORS Relief Foundation Grant of $200,000 to assist anyone in the county who has suffered loss to a primary residence from the storm. For homeowners, grant funds can be used to cover one month’s mortgage payment, and it can be used to cover the security deposit or one month’s rent for a new lease for displaced renters. The grant is not based on financial need; if applicants meet the criteria predetermined by NAR, they can receive up to $1,500. The application is due by December 1.
