According to AL.com, a Louisiana-based investment group paid $1.85 million for 94 acres on Waterworld Road in Robertsdale, along Interstate 10 just east of Buc-ee’s, according to Stacey Ryals of Ryals Realty, who brokered the transaction. The seller was Belle Fountain Land Co. The buyers plan to develop a destination wave park and riverfront RV resort on the property. An out-of-town investment group paid $1 million for a 6,600-ft2 building at 5865 Rangeline Road in Theodore, according to Jay O’Brien of J.L. O’Brien & Associates, who handled the transaction. Poke Bowl Sushi Burritos has leased space in Uptown Plaza on E. 20th Avenue in Gulf Shores and plans to open in April, according to Alla Nikitina of Ryals Realty. A trucking transport company paid $310,000 for a 5,000-ft2 building on 1.67 acres at 174 Baldwin Road in Satsuma, according to James Henderson of Realty Executives Bay Group, who handled the transaction. Construction is underway on Aviles Townhomes, a 67-unit rental project on Fort Morgan Road about ¼ mi. west of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores, according to Ryals, whose company is managing partner of the development. Finally, developers are seeking a site plan review for Harbor Club, a 71-unit condominium project at the south end of Griffith Marina Road in Orange Beach. The project goes before the Orange Beach Planning Commission on March 8.
