According to AL.com, the Sam’s Bait & Tackle store and service station at 27122 Canal Road in Orange Beach has been purchased by a local businessman for $7.6 million, and the popular store will remain operating as Sam’s, according to Ken Crabtree of Signature Properties, who handled both sides of the sales transaction. Nearby, developers are seeking site plan review approval to develop Harbor Club condominiums on 22.3 acres at the south end of Griffith Marina Road, according to city planning. Also in Orange Beach, Roscoe Road Townhomes is seeking approval to build nine buildings on 10.4 acres on the west side of Roscoe Road just north of the Foley Beach Express. The project would have 56 townhome units. In Foley, almost 17 acres at the corner of Fern Avenue and Highway 59 was purchased by an investor for $1.725 million, according to Amanda Goldman of Stirling Properties, who represented the sellers. In Mobile, Safe Hands Phlebotomy has leased 2,262 ft2 of office space at 4312 Downtowner Loop North, according to Steadman Bethea of Stirling, who handled the transaction.
