Real Estate Update

According to AL.com, an investor paid $3.675 million for 59 Storage of Robertsdale on Annandale Drive in Robertsdale, according to Herrington Realty, which handled the transaction. The 60,000-ft2 facility has 333 units, including RV slots. In Gulf Shores, demolition is underway on the former Winn-Dixie building on Gulf Shores Parkway near Zaxby’s to make way for a new Publix, according to planning records. The adjacent former Tuesday Morning building will remain at the site. The new store could be a prototype for Publix’s new store concept called GreenWise stores. GreenWise stores typically occupy 25,000 ft2 and focus on organic and prepared foods for health-conscious and gourmet connoisseurs. The stores feature meats smoked in-store, sausages made onsite, gourmet sandwiches and burrito bowls.
