Title Building Sold, Interior Demolition Permit Sought

MOBILE, Ala. — According to AL.com, the Title Building at 164 St. Francis Street in downtown Mobile was recently purchased by a group of local investors for $1,344,500. John D. Peebles and William Peebles of CRE Mobile represented the seller, and Inge & Associates worked for the buyers. The local landmark is across from Bienville Square and adjacent to the Athelstan Club. The buyers plan to renovate the 17,000-ft2 building for upscale mixed use. Additionally, Downtown Mobile Today reported that Edward Inge, general manager of Phoenix Restoration Services, applied for an interior demolition permit with the city on September 2.
