Coast Safe & Lock Celebrates 50 Years On The Gulf Coast

MOBILE, Ala. — Launched in 1972, Coast Safe & Lock of Midtown Mobile is celebrating 50 years of service on the Gulf Coast. The company began with locksmithing and has since grown into a full-spectrum access-control business. Today, it installs biometric, smart technology and cybersecurity systems for businesses and industries across the Gulf Coast. Customers include small businesses, individuals, banks, government buildings, pharmacies and warehouses. Reflecting on the advancements in security and technology over the past 50 years, owner Dennis McLeod says, “We still install a lot of deadbolts. As advanced as new technology is, deadbolt locks are great protection against forced entry.”
