Sweat Tire Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Sweat Tire, which provides a full range of automotive, RV, ATV and farm implement repair and maintenance services in Robertsdale, celebrated 60 years in business this week with an anniversary event with balloons, prizes, T-shirts, hats and other giveaways such as free oil changes and free tire rotations. The Sweat family opened the business in 1963 and has seen consistent growth and expansion since. In 2007, Dewane and Carmen Hayes purchased the company from third-generation Sweats and made substantial renovations to the historic Robertsdale location, along with adding locations in Bay Minette, Fairhope, Foley, Loxley, Monroeville and Tillmans’s Corner. Sweat Tire now has a total of 10 locations.
