Wawa Hosting Two Grand Openings On August 29

Wawa will host a double header of grand openings on August 29 at its locations in Mobile and Robertsdale. Both ceremonies will feature giveaways, including free T-shirts for the first 100 customers, free any-size coffee through September 8, plus a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials, customers, the announcement of grants from The Wawa Foundation and a “Hoagies for Heroes” hoagie-building competition between first responders to benefit local charities. On August 29, doors will open at 8 a.m. at both locations. Ribbon Cutting No. 1 will be held at 7095 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile at 8:30 a.m. Ribbon Cutting No. 2 will be held at 21022 Highway 59 in Robertsdale at 11:30 a.m. Wawa plans to open seven to 10 new stores in the Baldwin County and Mobile markets over the next three to four years, creating hundreds of new jobs.
