Blakely State Park Cruises Planned

Historic Blakeley State Park in Spanish Fort recently announced several cruises for the summer. Sunset cruises will be held on July 21 at 6:30 p.m. and July 28 at 7:10 p.m. The “Delta Discovery Tour” is “a 90-min excursion into the wild and scenic lower reaches of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta—known as the ‘American Amazon’” set for July 15 at 1 p.m., July 16 at 1:30 p.m., July 29 at 1 p.m., July 30 at 1:30 p.m., August 12 at 1 p.m. and August 13 at 1:30 p.m. Additionally, a lunch cruise will take place on August 5 at 10:30 a.m. Lasting three hours, it will make its way to Bluegill Restaurant, and an alternate route will be taken back to the park for sightseeing wildlife such as alligators, ospreys, bald eagles and numerous other species of plants and animals unique to this area.
