Bon Secour Butchers Tournament Kicks Off February 22

The 2025 RiverView Turf Tournament five-rodeo series hosted by the Bon Secour Butchers fishing club is kicking off on February 22-23 beginning at Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores. This “Inshore Icebreaker!” rodeo will accept speckled trout, redfish, flounder and sheepsheads. The event is open to the public, but those who want to compete for the club’s Angler of the Year title must join here. The top five anglers in each species will get points (five for first, four for second, three for third, two for fourth and one for fifth place) toward the title. There are also “Alabama Slam” events, and the tournaments allow anglers to sweep a category if they catch the three biggest fish during one of the club’s events. Future dates in the series are March 29-30, September 27-28, October 25-26 and December 6-7.
