First Light Football Preview, Mobile Sports Hall Of Fame Coming Up

The 32nd annual First Light Community of Mobile football preview will be held on May 6 at the University of South Alabama (USA) Mitchell Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $70 per person. Tables of eight are available for purchase at $560. Corporate sponsorships are also available. Current speakers for the event include Chris Stewart, sportscaster for the Crimson Tide Sports Network; Coach Major Applewhite, head football coach for USA; Coach Kane Wommack, defense coordinator from the University of Alabama; D.J. Durkin, defensive coordinator for Auburn University; and Brendt Bedsole, director of high school relations/pro liaison for Auburn University. The 2025 Mobile Sports Hall of Fame inductees are Mark Barron (football), Josh Donaldson (baseball), Rodney Hudson (football) and Ivan Maisel (college football writer). The event will also recognize top high school players for the 2024-2025 season.
