Hotard Named Daphne Basketball Coach

Daphne High School recently hired longtime McGill-Toolen assistant coach Reed Hotard as its new boys’ basketball coach, AL.com reported. Hotard, in his first head coaching role, will begin practices on June 1. The University of Southern Mississippi graduate spent the past 11 years working with Phillip Murphy at McGill, which, during that time, won 10 area championships, reached three final fours and won the 2016 Class 7A championship, the school’s first. Daphne’s third coach in three years, Hotard replaces Demarcus Mosley, who spent a season with the Trojans.
