Jaguars Break Record Of Most Wins In Season

The 2022 University of South Alabama football team has set a number of school records already, including most wins in a season since moving to the National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I in 2012, Lagniappeand NBC 15 report. The Jaguars are 9-2 overall and 6-1 in Sun Belt games and close the regular season tomorrow at Hancock Whitney Stadium against Old Dominion. South Alabama is guaranteed at least one more game beyond Saturday, as it is bowl eligible. The team will learn its bowl destination and opponent on December 4. It may play in the Sun Belt Conference championship game against Coastal Carolina University next Saturday, which would mark the Jaguars’ first title game appearance, if it beats Old Dominion and Troy loses to Arkansas State.
