OWA Mardi Gras Events Planned

FOLEY, Ala. — OWA in Foley will be hosting the inaugural Puppy Gras Pet Parade on February 26 at 2:30 p.m. on OWA Island with a pet-friendly costume contest immediately to follow on the OWA Island stage. Cash prizes will be given for “Puppy Gras King & Queen,” “OWA Choice,” “Funniest” and “Most Festive” costumes. To conclude OWA’s Mardi Gras festivities, the third annual Mardi Gras Parade & Party featuring Krewe du Cirque will be at 2 p.m. on February 27, with activities including live concerts by Troy Laz Band and Doctor Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster, children’s activities, a photo booth and a walking parade. The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. with live music on OWA Island until 8 p.m. The Mardi Gras festivities are complimentary to attend and open to the public. Registration fees are required for those who wish to participate in the Krewe du Kidz and Puppy Gras parades.
