Pickleball Courts Opened, More Planned For City Park

Four new pickleball courts opened in June at James Seals Park at 540 Texas Street in Mobile, FOX 10 reported. “We started with courts out at Stotts Park. So we look forward to seeing a whole lot of play on them,” Mayor Sandy Stimpson said in the report. As pickleball continues to be one of the fastest-growing sports in America, the need for more courts has grown, and the city is planning to add additional courts: three at Hillsdale Park, four at Crawford-Murphy Park and six at Lavretta Park.
