Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar In Daphne Tomorrow

The Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar Series is coming to the Daphne Civic Center on February 1 at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Host George Poveromo will be joined by a long list of renowned in- and off-shore professional anglers and fishing guides, including Captain Chris “Marlin” Hood, an Orange Beach-based professional who specializes in targeting trophy class blue marlin, tuna and wahoo. Tickets are $65. In addition to five hours of fishing instruction from leading national and regional angling authorities, they include a year’s subscription or extension to Saltwater Sportsman, boat care products, a textbook and chances to win prizes, including a new Mako Pro Skiff 17 cc. An after-seminar party with complimentary finger food, beverages and music is scheduled at 4-7 p.m. at the Bass Pro Shops in Spanish Fort with Poveromo and the seminar faculty.
