Saraland Breaks Ground On The Land Sports Complex

The City of Saraland held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 27 for The Land, the city’s new sports and recreation complex, which will feature sports fields, hard courts, multipurpose event spaces, a family entertainment center and numerous amenities for various sports and recreational activities. Officials from Saraland, Chambless King, KemperSports Venues and others were on hand to give remarks and celebrate the start of construction for the new facility. Once complete, The Land will include a 78,000-ft2 indoor recreation center with four regulation-size basketball courts, eight regulation-size collegiate volleyball courts, three outdoor tennis courts, six outdoor pickleball courts, three beach volleyball courts, a disc golf course, a nature trail and an outdoor walking path connecting the indoor recreation center track to the outdoor facilities.
