Sports Complex Coming To Saraland

SARALAND, Ala. — Saraland has plans for a new multimillion-dollar sports complex, FOX10 reported. It will be located behind the fire station off Celeste Road. This has been a goal of Saraland’s for nearly two decades. Renderings show amenities including pickleball and tennis courts and soccer, baseball and lacrosse fields. Plans include an indoor walking track, a fitness center, rock climbing and laser tag. The facility will be funded through bonds and grants. The city is in the process of securing a $50-million bond, “so citizens do not have to worry about their taxes going up,” Parks and Recreation Director Ashley-Nicole Flowers said.
