The Land Celebrates Opening Of Outdoor Recreation Fields

The City of Saraland recently celebrated the opening of five baseball and softball fields as part of the ongoing development at The Land. On March 7, a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony took place that included tours of the facility and wiffle ball games for youth athletes. To commemorate the opening, local youth baseball and softball teams played their first games at the fields on March 8. In addition to the outdoor recreation space, The Land is to include a 78,000-ft2 indoor recreation center that will include four regulation-size basketball courts and eight regulation-size collegiate volleyball courts and an outdoor walking path connecting the indoor recreation center track to the outdoor facilities. The indoor recreation space remains under construction and is slated to be completed this summer.
