The Launch At ICW Officially Opens

ORANGE BEACH, Ala — The Launch at ICW ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in Orange Beach on October 28. The 47-acre property has more than 1,700 ft of water frontage, six boat launches, lighted boat and car parking, six covered pavilions with picnic table seating, a grand pavilion, and more than 1 mi. of concrete sidewalks and boardwalks throughout the pavilion and launch areas. Gov. Kay Ivey committed the State of Alabama to providing $10.1 million in state Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funding to help bring this long-awaited project to fruition, while the Baldwin County Commission committed an additional $8.1 million in county GOMESA funding and an additional $750,000 of local county funds to support the project.
