Mobile Ballet Announces Collaborative Season Kickoff

Mobile Ballet Co., in collaboration with Mobile Opera, will present “Eclectic” on October 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mobile Civic Center Theater. Kicking off Mobile Ballet’s 2023-2024 season, this new production by Katia Garza “is a one-of-a-kind creative collaboration with dancers, live music and singers together on one stage—from opera to oldies, classical to contemporary,” it said. Its dancers and guest artists will perform alongside Mobile Opera sopranos Allanda Small and Kathryn Hedlund, Mobile singer-songwriter Symone French and local musicians including violinist Enen Yu and others led by conductor and pianist David Ott. Guest artists include Cincinnati Ballet principal dancers Melissa Gelfin De-Poli and Rafael Quenedit Castro.
