MAC Features Photography, Bullock

The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) is presenting a free double exhibition in celebration of National Photography Month throughout May in its gallery at Room 1927 in Mobile showcasing the depth and diversity of photographic storytelling. The exhibit features a members’ only, juried collection of photography works, alongside “Navigating the Broken Road,” a solo exhibition by Mobile-based, documentary-style photographer Karen Bullock. This exhibit offers viewers a moment to reflect on photography’s roots and evolution. The open call group show instructed artists to tell their stories through personal and creative narratives of photographers from across the region. “Each piece offers a unique perspective and visual voice, showcasing the many ways photography is used to reflect memory, identity, and place,” MAC said.
