Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Announces Concert

The MSO has announced “Beethoven & Blue Jeans” for November 14-15 at Mobile’s Saenger Theatre. To allow for social distancing (with the Saenger only allowing 400 people at once), the orchestra has expanded its performances to four: November 14 at 6-8:30 p.m. and November 15 at 1-3:30 p.m. Music Director Scott Speck explained: “This year, we bring you ‘Beethoven and Blue Jeans’ in momentous fashion, as we celebrate Beethoven’s 250th…. For the occasion, we welcome Randall Goosby, a stunning young violinist, who, just this fall, signed an exclusive recording deal with classical music powerhouse Decca Classics.” The concert is sponsored by the Larkins Foundation, Karen and Jim Atchison and Joanna and Robert Cunningham. Masks are required for audience and musicians, and the theater will be sanitized between performances. Tickets, ranging $15-82, can be purchased online, by phone at 251-432-2010 or at the symphony box office at 257 Dauphin Street.
