Mobile Chamber Opens Small Business Of The Year Awards

The Mobile Chamber is accepting applications for its Small Business of the Year Awards through October 1. The program will honor the achievements of small businesses and highlight their contributions to Mobile’s economic growth. A finalist will be chosen as the Small Business of the Month every month throughout 2024. Qualifications are that the business must be at least four years old and a member of the chamber for three years; have 100 or fewer employees; have a solid financial base; demonstrate sales growth, profit or unit growth, a new product line, an expanding number of employees or innovative initiatives; have evidence of good business practices; contribute to community service; be a privately owned, for-profit entity; and be headquartered in Mobile, Baldwin or Washington counties. The winner will be revealed at an awards luncheon in January 2025 and be awarded $10,000, with each finalist receiving $500. All will be highlighted in a variety of outlets.
