Big Response To “Envision Downtown Foley”

FOLEY, Ala. — Community foundation Foley Main Street, Inc., and its sponsors, community partners and the City of Foley have announced that “Envision Downtown Foley,” a planning initiative to help visualize the possibilities for the community, was a success. More than 350 members of the public, property owners, business owners, city employees and elected officials participated in 17 meetings in which information about people’s ideas and concerns about Downtown Foley were gathered. Another layer of information was added via an online survey (BBN #86) that gathered more than 900 quality responses. A snapshot and detailed results of the survey are available. Next steps include a late June meeting with the Steering Committee to review the foundation’s final plan and make a roadmap of further plans, which include planning strategies for the plan’s rollout. For more information about Envision Downtown Foley or to learn more about Foley Main Street, contact Executive Director Darrelyn Dunmore at phone: 251-270-0089.
