Impact 100 Baldwin County To Award $545,000 In Grants

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — Impact 100 Baldwin County recently announced $545,000 in grants, a record high for the organization, to be awarded this fall. Each $109,000 grant will go to nonprofits serving Baldwin County. Impact 100 members will volunteer to serve in groups to evaluate the grant applications and select finalists, with the entire membership voting to select the five grant recipients at the organization’s Evening of Impact event this fall. Grants will then be awarded in “Arts, Culture & Recreation,” “Education,” “Environment & Preservation,” “Family,” and “Health & Wellness.” Impact 100 Baldwin County is also celebrating 15 years of grant giving this year and had a successful membership drive, which concluded March 31 with more than 450 Baldwin County women joining or rejoining. Each member’s annual $1,000 contribution is pooled to produce large grants for the community. More than $4 million has been awarded since the organization’s founding in 2008.
