ACF Leading Tree Planting In Zirlott Park

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) is partnering with The Nature Conservancy and the City of Bayou La Batre to add native trees to Zirlott Park in Bayou La Batre on August 16 beginning at 7 a.m., with a backup date of August 18 in case of inclement weather. ACF says the project will bring much-needed shade to some of the park’s recreational fields and provide a more enjoyable public area. Volunteers only need to bring proper sun protection (sunscreen, glasses and a hat), closed-toed shoes and a water bottle. To sign up or for more information, contact Haley Jackson at email.
