ACF Middle School Program Announced

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) is holding the 2024 Mobile Bay Estuary Corps program for students in 6th and 7th grade on June 20-22. The educational program aims to engage students through online career awareness videos and hands-on activities that explore and improve estuarine systems. Activities include exploring the Gulf of Mexico on the Alabama Discovery research vessel, touring the Mobile Delta in a kayak, learning about pitcher plant bogs and the Underwater Forest at the Five Rivers Delta Resource Center and learning about initiatives centered around protecting wildlife, including seagrass and sea turtles. The day will end with a graduation ceremony, which parents/guardians are invited to attend. The cost is $90, and the deadline to apply is April 26.
