Coastal Cleanup Coming Next Month

The 34th Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup is being held on September 18 at 8 a.m.-noon. There are various cleanup zones throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties, and for Dauphin Island, volunteers are to report to Cadillac Square by 8 a.m. to receive supplies and equipment and identify areas to be cleaned, The Connection reports. It adds that the Dauphin Island team leader this year is Allison Fletcher, who may be contacted at phone: 501-701-3043 or email. The event is sponsored by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources State Lands Division, Coastal Section, and Alabama People Against a Littered State.
