Request for Coastal Proposals Opens

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has issued a request for proposals open now through April 23 for its fiscal year 2022 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program. Funding is geographically limited to Mobile and Baldwin counties and requires a 1:1 ratio of non-federal matching funds. The opportunity is for coastal nonpoint pollution-control planning projects, coastal planning projects, coastal education and outreach projects, and coastal public-access improvements. The preferred minimum/maximum funding amounts are $20,000/$50,000 in federal funds. If selected, funds will be available on October 1, 2021, for a period not to exceed 12 months.
