First Bishop State Spanish-Speaking Culinary Arts Class Graduates

MOBILE, Ala. — Bishop State Community College recently announced the graduation of the school’s first culinary arts class specifically for Spanish-speaking students, according to the Mobile Chamber. The 12-week program provided integrated education and training to Spanish-speaking students who expressed long-term interest in careers in the food industry. These students earned national certificates for kitchen cook, restaurant server and breakfast attendant, and the Mobile County Food Handler’s permit.
