Mobile County Recognizes Baker, MGM Students

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. — The Mobile County School Board recently recognized students from Baker and Mary G. Montgomery (MGM) high schools, Call News reported. Baker’s culinary arts team won three awards in Disney’s Cook Around the World Culinary Competition in Orlando. Students in the program are Kody Bleyswyk, Sophie Raines, Mary Miller, Charla King, Trinity Seabrook, Brianna Couture and Susan Hoffman. Additionally, MGM senior Sarah Knight was first in 3D animation at the Future Business Leaders of America’s State Leadership Conference for her biomedical academy project. Finally, MGM students took both first and second place in the statewide 2022 Cyber Club competitions, in which they performed the tasks of a cybersecurity professional. Those winners are Braxton Fuller, Benjamin Russ, Preston Vardaman, Avery Webb, Michael Hofelich, Lydia Stroud and Jose Wheeler.
