Mobile Announces $1.8 Million In ARPA Funding

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson recently announced that 10 local agencies will soon receive a combined $1.8 million in assistance to help them continue providing social services in the community. The funds, via the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and supported by the Mobile City Council, are going to the United Methodist Inner City Mission, the Dearborn YMCA, the Mobile Area Interfaith Conference, Victory Health Partners, the Africatown Redevelopment Corp., Franklin Primary Health Center, The Food Pantry at Central, Commonwealth CDFI, The Historic Avenue Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama. The organizations provide services for youth, the community and the homeless. Information on how other ARPA funds will help small businesses is to be released in the coming weeks.
