Baldwin Bone & Joint Adds Fellowship-Trained Doctor

Baldwin Bone & Joint announced the addition of fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine specialist Dr. Keith Spain to its orthopedic team. He has practiced in both Mobile and Baldwin counties as a sports medicine specialist since 2015. Spain, a nonsurgical and regenerative sports medicine specialist, is a native of Mobile. He attended the University of South Alabama and graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans. He completed his family medicine residency at Halifax Medical Center. Following residency, he practiced emergency medicine before completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease. He currently serves as a team physician for Foley High School. Spain is board-certified in family medicine and holds a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. His specialty is the nonsurgical treatment of orthopedic injuries and medical conditions in athletes of all ages and abilities. Spain is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He is the current president of the Baldwin County Medical Society. Now seeing patients at the Daphne and Foley office locations, Spain has additional specialty training in minimally invasive and ultrasound-guided procedures, orthobiological regenerative medicine and the Tenex Health procedure for chronic tendinopathy.
