New Oncologist At Southern Cancer Center

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — Dr. Rachael Harmon recently joined Southern Cancer Center. Harmon is a board-certified radiation oncologist and the only woman radiation oncologist practicing solely in Baldwin County, seeing patients in Daphne and Foley. Harmon received a pair of Bachelor of Engineering degrees from Vanderbilt University, then a medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She then completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center followed by a radiation oncology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Since 2015, Harmon has been working in private practice in New Orleans and, most recently, was selected to complete the Women’s Leadership Academy continuing education program at Loyola University.
