Two Physicians Retire From The Orthopaedic Group

After a combined 64 years in practice, orthopedic specialists Dr. Milton A. Wallace, Jr. and Dr. Joseph F. McGowin, III are retiring from The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. Wallace graduated from the University of South Alabama (USA) with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Wallace completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UAB. He joined The Orthopaedic Group on January 1, 1986, specializing in joint replacement of the hip and knee. McGowin is a Mobile native who graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS and from UAB with a medical degree. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at USA. He joined The Orthopaedic Group on May 8, 1992, specializing in shoulder and knee surgery and sports medicine care.
