Hub International Buys Shields

Hub International Ltd. announced today that it has acquired the assets of Shields Insurance Agency. Shields has locations in Mobile and Birmingham and moved its headquarters to 3262 Old Shell Road, Suite C5 in Mobile earlier this year (Shields Moves HQ to Mobile). Hub is a full-service global insurance broker based in Chicago. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Shields CEO Bry Shields will join Hub Gulf South and report to Shaun Norris, president of the region. Bry Shields commented, “This is a big move and will expand the capabilities for what we can do to help our clients. Not much will change for my clients, except a different address to mail checks to, and we will have broader market access on your behalf and more staff to help us with things like claims and coverage placement.”
