Mobile Bar Association (MBA) Awards, Collection Announced

MBA recently awarded its 2020 Howell Heflin Honor and Integrity Award to retired Justice Lyn Stuart. Stuart received her award during the Supreme Court of Alabama Oral Arguments. The 2021 Howell Heflin Honor and Integrity Award recipient is retired Judge John Lockett, who also received his award during the arguments.
MBA’s Public Service Committee will be collecting coats and jackets to be distributed to people in Volunteers of America Southeast’s programs, including residents at Eagle’s Landing, low-income seniors, people who are homeless and people with developmental disabilities. The deadline to donate coats is December 10. They may be dropped off at MBA headquarters at 150 Government Street, Suite 1000-A or at the MBA December Membership Luncheon. Email Public Service Committee Chair Ruth Lichtenfeld for more information.
